Nick Smith – CEO
Nick Smith, the Chief Executive Officer, is also the founder of Australia’s largest privately owned payment gateway – SecurePay.com.au. Last year SecurePay processed over AU$5 billion in payments. Nick began selling communication equipment in 1987 and went onto create Australian Mobile Communications which became the largest Optus dealership in Australia. He then started Infodial Australia, a Telstra service provider that provides premium rate and credit card information services via the telephone. Infodial is still in operation today.
From it’s startup in 1999, SecurePay now services clients including over 100 councils and utilities such as Ergon energy, Yarra Valley water, The Dept of Justice and the RTA. The company also provides the backend processing for Westpac Bank, Macquarie Bank and more than 3000 small merchants.
Simon Healy – Managing Director
Simon Healy, the Managing Director, is a specialist in SEO and web start-ups. Simon has been involved with successful technology firms including currently project managing the web’s largest Education domain network – StudyInternational.com which includes of 525 top level domains such as StudyinAustralia.com, StudyinChina.com, StudyinEurope.com, StudyIT.com via OutsourcingTo.uS Education and Training division HigherEdMarketing.com.au. Simon’s previous company EdMedia grew to service over 300 clients in more than 15 countries before he exited the firm in 2006. Simon currently serves on a number of NGO boards such OrphanIT.com and the SolvePoverty.com website which was launched by Princess Anne at Oxford University in September 2000. He is also a co-founder of a venture capital fund for young social entrepreneurs called The Youth Social Enterprise Initiative. YSEI has provided start-up capital of up to USD$40,000 to 17 youth entrepreneurs involved in ICT across Asia Pacific to date. Simon has been working on the net since 1994
Dale Pillars – Operations Director
Dale Pillars, is an expert interactive media producer with years of experience in web design/development and online marketing. He has successfully run a VA-ISP and consulted to a number of start-ups throughout the tech-boom. Dale was creative director for the Australian operation of EdgeMatrix, a Singapore-based firm that led the market in multi-channel platform solutions, dealing with advertising, marketing and telecommunications companies.
EdgeMatrix provided interactive marketing solutions for clients, such as Heineken, SingTel, M1, Telstra, Vodafone, OneTel, People Telecom, Optus, using the latest marketing concepts based around WAP and SMS technologies. He concurrently heads up the operations team on web’s largest Education domain network – StudyInternational.com. Dale has also developed eLearning solutions for the corporate, government and education sectors, and works in the aid development field having deployed both the OrphanIT.com and the SolvePoverty.com websites. He has been working on the Internet since 1994.
