Child Care Fee to Rise up to 33$/day
NSW, Australia – Most parents are facing another turn for the child care fees with an amount ranging from 33$ in a day. This has been implemented by the Federal Government and requires that childcare centres should get or hire better and effective staff other than being qualified, on which a survey of around 170NSW centres was found.
The said fees will be implemented in a manner in which a supply of 12,878 childcare places should focus on. Fees for children aged under two should have to rise by 30 percent – or about $20.56 per day – from the following year to pay for extra staff.
While fees for two and three year old will increase at around 38 percent or – $23.27 per child/ per day, by doing this, the results will be visible and the it would rise as much as 33$ a day. And for a family that is using a full-time care, the cost will increase at amount of $2970 per year.
The figures are based on the Daily Telegraph reports, and that it was carried out by the Guild Accountancy, and found that 36 percent of centres will reduce the number of childcare places they offer to avoid too much impact of cost increases. However, it is even harder for parents to get or find a childcare places for the under-supplied child caring place for two years age group.
Opposition leader Tony Abbot had promised his plan to delay the introduction while the whole new system is being examined. The fee according to survey is about to rise five times higher than the average $1 – $4 fee rise as the Government predicted would flow from the changes.
Australian Childcare Alliance president Gwynn Bridge said there had to be a benefit increase to help parents cope with rising costs and to prevent mums leaving work.
“This has to be an election issue because these fee rises will be rolling out in the next term of government,” she said. Following the claimed from the survey that the mothers of half the children attending the 170 centres do not actually receive a tax rebate for the sole reason that they do not work. Because of this mothers will have to bear the full cost of any fee rise.
