Flight Centre Increased its Net Profit

Travel agency group Flight Centre LTD known to bring arrays of cheap holidays and last minute deals to for clients looking for cheaper holiday treat and cruise, and packages has released its profit report earning a net profit of more than triple figure for 2009 to 2010 against the record ticket sales and highly improved margins.

Flight Centre has reported a net profit of at least $139.87 million for the 12 months to June 30, 2010, which is up for at least 266.5 per cent from the prior corresponding period. The figure has been counted and gathered; rising up for about 4.1 per cent to $1.80 billion, the company has released its statement just recently.

In addition to this, the Flight Centre Company is betting and expecting a further increased on the said figure for their profit growth in the coming year ahead, around 2010 to 2011, despite some ongoing issues and volatility of the sales and figures.

The forecasted profits will be expected to increase at a certain range of $220 million up to $240 million by the year 2010 to 2011, against the tallied figure from 2009 to 2010 which runs about $198.5 million.

Managing director Graham Turner said in his statement, “While it is extremely difficult to forecast results at this early stage, we will be disappointed if we don’t improve on last year, given the momentum established in 2009/10 in most countries and most businesses.”

The year 2009 to 2010 had started pretty well with its “good momentum”, and so the Flight Centre is expecting a healthy profit and sales results at the start of July onwards.

Flight Centre company has declared a final dividend of about 44 cents and, furthermore will increased its profit by other influences like shop expansion, modest recovery in airfare yields, the return of the corporate traveler, stronger trading conditions overseas and improved contributions from its India and US businesses.
