Scheduled for an accusation at 1 p.m. Monday in Painesville Municipal Court a 38-year-old Cleveland man said that he wish he would have pointed his gun to someone else and not at the policeman in a civilian. Jason Rivers who is off-duty that day walked into the Advance America Cash Advance as a customer and somehow smells that there is something wrong going on.
The suspect points the gun and said that he will kill him if he moves. Unfortunately to the suspects he is have an experienced with almost 30 years in martial arts. He said the man never dropped his gun and they fought for a short period of time before Rivers recognized the man was frustrating to leave and he let him go. Rivers then again have a plan on how to get the suspects and get the plate number of the get away car.
Honestly its a trained reaction. Ive been in martial arts since I was five. I really just reacted and I was mad. If the man had been further away he wouldn’t have reacted in the same way because he or an employee might have been shot. That over overstated aggression the man putting the gun to his head made me think this guy was pretty serious, River said.
